What is the difference between 2FAFast.com and the browser extension?

2FAFast.com is a website you open in any browser to generate a single 2FA code on demand. The extension lives in your browser toolbar, stores unlimited accounts, and generates codes for all of them without opening a tab, even offline.

Do I need to create an account to use the extension?

No. There is no sign-up, no email, and no cloud account. Your 2FA secrets are stored only in your browser's local storage, optionally encrypted with a PIN or password you set yourself.

Is the extension really free?

Yes, completely free with no ads inside the extension, no premium tier, and no account limits.

Which browsers are supported right now?

Any Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) via the Chrome Web Store, and Firefox 109+ via Firefox Add-ons (AMO). Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Linux apps are in development.

Can I move my existing 2FA accounts into the extension?

Yes. Use the built-in QR scanner (webcam or screen capture) to import accounts from Google Authenticator migration QR codes, or add a secret key manually.
